SOLVER GANG BUSTED, SEVEN INCLUDING KINGPIN HELD
PRAYAGRAJ: Special Task Force Prayagraj unit busted a gang of solvers and arrested seven of its members including its kingpin with large number of forged documents, mobiles, cash and vehicles on Sunday.
The gang, whose members were in different districts of the state, was involved in providing unfair means and solvers to Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) aspirants. “STF team under Inspector Atul Kumar Singh received a tip off that two solvers have appeared in CTET exam at KP Higher Education Institute at Jhalwa while another has appeared at a centre in Gorakhpur,” said ASP STF Neeraj Kumar Pandey. STF team held Aditya Shahi and Puja Devi from KP Institute. The other solver Yatendra Singh was arrested in Gorakhpur, he added.
STF team also arrested Prashant Singh of Prayagraj, who is a teacher at Government Intermediate College Amroha, Dharmendra Singh, a primary school teacher in Rae Bareli, Shivpujan Patel of Pratapgarh, who is presently working as engineer at RSPL Ltd Haridwar, Munesh Kumar Chauhan of Amroha, a private school teacher and original aspirant of CTET examination. Seven admit cards of CTET aspirants, 3 forged Aadhaar cards, 2 forged PAN cards, 2 cheque books, a cheque of Rs 4 lakh, cash 13500, a car, two bikes, mobile phones and some other documents were recovered from the accused.
Gang leaders Dharmendra Singh and Prashant Singh during interrogation confessed that they used to provide solvers to help aspirants of different competitive examinations in return of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. The photograph of the original aspirant and the solver were photo shopped and pasted on forged admit card. The solver was given Rs 50,000 to appear in the examination, the ASP said. One Kamlesh of Kaushambi used to bring candidates while Rohit of Holland Hall hostel used to mix photographs and made forged admit cards. An FIR has been lodged against the arrested candidates at Colonelganj and Dhumanganj police station , ASP added.
