63.14% health workers inoculated in Lucknow

LUCKNOW : Of the 12,001 listed beneficiar­ies (health workers), 7,578 (63.14%) took the vaccine shots in Lucknow on Thursday in the fifth round of the first phase of Covid vaccinatio­n.

So far, over 28,037 health care workers have got the first dose. A total of over 51,000 of them are on the list of beneficiar­ies in the state capital. At the KGMU, 17 booths were set up to cover 1,816 beneficiar­ies and 675 (37.16%) of them got the vaccine jabs.

At the KGMU, 17 booths were set up to cover 1,816 beneficiar­ies and 675 (37.16%) of them got the vaccine jabs.

During the day, 99 vaccinatio­n booths were set up at 29 hospitals across the city with a target of 125 beneficiar­ies at each one.

At one of the booths at Era Medical College, 167 beneficiar­ies were vaccinated against the list of 125. This was the maximum turnout at one booth. The lowest turnout (27 beneficiar­ies against a list of 125) was recorded at one of the five booths at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences.

“On Friday, 76 booths will be working, of which 55 will be for health workers and 21 for frontline workers,” said Dr MK Singh, in-charge of vaccinatio­n in Lucknow. He said, “There was neither any vaccine wastage nor any adverse reaction was reported after the vaccinatio­n.”

The sixth round of vaccinatio­n will target about 6,800 health workers.
