LUCKNOW : Senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Govind Chaudhary on Thursday accused the BJP government of working in the interest of corporate houses.

He said this after meeting family members of Navreet Singh at Dibdiba village of Rampur. Singh had lost his life when his tractor overturned during the tractor rally in New Delhi on January 26. According to an SP press release, Chaudhary said: “It was for the first time that a government has not offered tributes to farmers who lost their lives during their agitation.” Chaudhary also met the family of Kashmira Singh of Pasiapur village in Rampur who also lost life during the ongoing agitation of farmers.

Jayant too pays tribute MEERUT: RLD leader Jayant Choudhary on Thursday supported the demand for a judicial enquiry into the death of Navreet Singh, who died during Kisan Tractor Parade in Delhi on January 26.

Jayant told this at the congregation of Sikh Sangat and other people after paying his tribute to Navreet at his home in Dibdiba village of Rampur on Thursday.

Jayant said that only a fair enquiry could help in allaying doubts about the death of young Navreet. He said that now it was “our duty to ensure that his sacrifice should not go in vain”.

RLD said that the three3 farm bills were brought by the government only to benefit some corporates.
