PRAYAGRAJ: The UP Board of Intermediate and High School Education has begun uploading the second list of exam centers spread across the 75 districts of the state, for conducting its high school and intermediate examinations, 2021. The final list of centers will be released on February 22, said an UP board official.

Till Monday evening, the board had uploaded on its website the list of exam centers of 60 districts. Exam centers of few districts like Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Fatehpur, Kanpur Dehat, Jhansi, Gorakhpur etc were yet to be uploaded.

The board examinations are scheduled to begin on April 24, 2021 and would end on May 10 for Class 10 and on May 12 for Class 12 students.

According to the revised programme released on January 21, all DIoSs were instructed to receive the objections, if any, against the exam centers identified by the board.

The DIoSs have been asked to weigh these objections and get them resolved if possible and send reports to the board by February 9. The objections were to be resolved and after approval by the district committee, the list was to be uploaded on the board’s website.

“After receiving the report from all DIoSs concerned and resolving the objections, if any, we have prepared the second tentative list of the exam centers and the same is being uploaded on the website. Lists for most of the districts have been uploaded while for the rest would be uploaded soon,” said board secretary Divyakant Shukla.

Now, the UP board has uploaded the second tentative list on its website, if any person in any district is dissatisfied with the resolution of objections made by the district committee, he or she can raise their case on the board’s email ID www.upmspexamcentre@gmail.com by February 18.

These objections will be resolved at the level of the central assessment committee set up at the board. The chairman of the council committee is Vinay Kumar Pandey, who is also chairman of the board, and director of the secondary education. The member secretary of the board is Divyakant Shukla.

The final list of centers will be released on February 22, after resolving all the objections received by e-mail.

There were 300 centers in Prayagraj in the first list, but after the disposal of objections, the number of centers has increased to 321. The increase is because of the fact that the centers for around 30,000 students were allotted quite far away from their locations and the same was adjusted.

Interestingly, both the Civil Lines and Rasulabad branches of Jwala Devi Inter College, run by Vidya Bharati group, in Prayagraj have now become centers in the new list. The principals of both schools had objected to their schools not being included in the first list.
