BHU marks 105 years of foundation on Basant Panchami

VARANASI: Rakesh Bhatnagar, vice-chancellor, BHU appealed to the members of BHU family, to work with full dedication to take BHU to a new height of prestige and fame, on Tuesday.

He was speaking on the occasion of BHU’s Foundation Day celebratio­n which was co-incidental­ly Basant Panchami also. On the day, BHU completed 105 years of its foundation. Bhatnagar participat­ed in Saraswati

Puja performed at the sthapana sthal (foundation site) and extended greetings to the BHU family members, including students, teachers, and non-teaching staff. He said that “if all of us follow the footsteps of BHU founder Mahamana Pt Madanmohan Malviya with sincerity and integrity, not only can we become good persons but can serve the university and the country in the truest sense.”

He said that BHU is a university with many specialtie­s and it was a matter of great pride for him that he got a privilege to serve the BHU.

He called upon the members of the university family to work with full enthusiasm to take BHU to a new peak.

He also inaugurate­d the nurses’ residence on the premises of the trauma centre. The first floor of the nurses’ residence has been completed. Six floors are to be constructe­d under the project. He also inaugurate­d the service and administra­tive block and also Amrit Pharmacy at the trauma centre. The pharmacy will be of great help to patients.
