Eligible students of Abhyuday coaching scheme to get tablets
LUCKNOW : The state government will provide tablets to the students registered with its ambitious Abhyuday free coaching scheme, which provides guidance to youths preparing for competitive exams.
Presenting the budget, finance minister Suresh Khanna said, “Under the scheme, the state government will provide tablets to students on the basis of their eligibility so that they can prepare for various competitive examinations through digital learning. Appropriate funds will be arranged in this regard.”
The scheme was rolled out at 18 divisional headquarters on the Basant Panchami day. At the launch, chief minister Yogi Adityanath had said senior bureaucrats and police officers would guide students to crack UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and many other competitive exams like JEE, NEET, as many of them could not afford expensive coaching classes.
Khanna said, “There is immense enthusiasm among the youth of the state for the free coaching scheme Mukhyamantri Abhyuday Yojana with a view to making the youth of the state successful in various competitive examinations.”
He also said, “The Yogi government’s fifth budget has a special focus on youth.” According to the finance minister, the youth power and energy are strong carriers of the development of the society.
“We have given special attention to the all-round development of the youth section of the society. Our priority is to enhance the skills of the youth of the state so that they can make full use of employment opportunities,” the finance minister said.
He also said the development of digital village would provide better connectivity to the youths of the rural areas, so that they would be familiar with the global scenario of education and employment.
It has also been decided to develop and strengthen the infrastructure in aided non-government secondary schools and government Sanskrit schools.
Poor students studying in Sanskrit schools would be provided free hostel and food facilities as per the Gurukul system.
