MSME sector set to get a big push
Govt plans to invest in infrastructure related projects, set up industrial parks and promote ODOP
LUCKNOW : The state government plans to give a big push to micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by investing in infrastructure related projects, setting up industrial and logistic parks and by promoting “One District One Product” (ODOP) scheme.
In the 2021-22 budget, the government has allocated Rs 100 crore to set up industrial parks, clusters, in public private partnership (PPP) mode in closed spinning mills belonging to the UP State Spinning Company by reviving their assets. For its flagship ODOP scheme, the state government has allocated Rs 250 crore. This will not only give a boost to rural economy but will also give a push to the MSME sector. Besides, an allocation of Rs 100 crore has been made for
the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarojgar Yojana and Rs 30 crore for traditional artisans of urban and rural areas under the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana.
Khadi and Gramodyog Interest-free loan up to Rs 10 lakh can be availed by reserved category beneficiaries and general category women. Same loan will be made available at four percent annual interest for male beneficiaries of general category under the Mukhyamantri Gramodyog Rozgar Yojana. A provision of Rs 10 crore has also been made to promote art and artisans of traditional Mati Kala (clayware).
Handloom, textile industries
A target to generate 25,000 employment in the field of textiles in the financial year 20212022. Power supply to power loom weavers by the state government at a subsidised rate.
IT and electronics Establishment of an electronic city on Yamuna Expressway near Jewar airport and defence electronics manufacturing cluster in Bundelkhand. PPP modelbased construction of Advanced Information Technology Complex’ in 40-acre area at Nadarganj near Lucknow airport is also proposed.
Special area programme Rs 300 crore proposed for special schemes in Purvanchal and Rs 210 crore for Bundelkhand region.
