Funds proposed for Agra, Aligarh, Mathura, Firozabad

AGRA: Budgetary allocation of Rs 478 crores for Metro Rail Project and another Rs 200 crore for Smart City Project showcased the government’s focus on Agra. Funds in the budget have also been proposed for Aligarh with Rs 200 crore provision for Smart City Project.

Allocation of Rs 17.5 crore each have also been proposed for Mathura and Firozabad under the Smart City Project. Besides, Rs 120 crore have been proposed for Etah Medical College while funds have also been proposed for Sainik School in Mainpuri. There was some criticism too. “The state budget presented today had nothing to offer for Agra’s tourism industry, still reeling under the impact of Covid-19.
