Nadda in Varanasi on Feb 28 on two-day visit, to inaugurate newly built BJP office
VARANASI: BJP president JP Nadda will inaugurate the newly built office of BJP Kashi region, in Rohania area of Varanasi, on February 28.
The Kashi region BJP has started preparations to welcome Nadda, visiting Varanasi for the first time as BJP president. A meeting of BJP officebearers was held at the new office of the BJP on Wednesday, said party Kashi region spokesperson Navratan Rathi.
Addressing the meeting, Bhavani Singh, UP BJP co-general secretary, organisation, said that the party’s president will participate in various programmes during his two-day proposed visit to Varanasi starting from February 28.
Singh added that these programmes include inauguration of the newly constructed office of the BJP Kashi region, meeting office-bearers of all 16 districts of the Kashi region, meeting of public representatives and meeting of the heads of various social classes here.
BJP Kashi region president Mahesh Chand Srivastava, while discussing the proposed programmes of the BJP president in detail, said that after the office inauguration, Nadda will address party workers. He said that for the success of all the programmes, separate teams of party workers had been formed and they had been instructed to hold meetings and make necessary preparations.
Srivastava said that Nadda will attend the working committee meeting of a mandal (an area in the city) of Varanasi during his two-day stay. He will also have tea at the house of a BJP booth-level president.
In the meeting chaired by Srivastava, BJP district unit president Hansraj Vishwakarma, city unit president Vidyasagar Rai and several other leaders were present.
