HC TO START WORKING IN ROUTINE MANNER FROM MARCH 1
PRAYAGRAJ: The Allahabad High Court and its Lucknow Bench will start functioning in routine manner with effect from March 1, 2021.
According to the registrar (protocol), Ashish Kumar Srivastava, all these modalities and arrangements have been approved by the chief justice Govind Mathur. Earlier, in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, various restrictions were imposed and working at court was hampered. Though the restrictions have been removed, certain precautions will continue during the court proceedings in order to check corona spread.
As per notification, the judges and their supporting staff will attend the high court in full strength from March 1. Besides, the chambers of the advocates on high court premises will be opened.
However, no litigant will be permitted entry in the high court. In addition to it, the canteens of the advocates and the employees situated on the high court premises will function in a routine manner.
“The judges and the lawyers will wear robes and coats as prescribed in routine manner”, the notification added.
However, the advocates appearing in the court will wear mask and will adhere to all necessary conditions prescribed for social and physical distancing. “Not more than six advocates will be permitted to remain in the court room at any given time. The advocates shall leave court room immediately after hearing of their case”, the notification further added.
