Sangam city ranks 32 among 111 cities

PRAYAGRAJ : Sangam city bagged the overall rank of 32 with a score of 53.29 among 111 cities of the country in the rankings under Ease of Living Index 2020 announced for cities with a population of over a million and cities with less than a million people on Thursday. Prayagraj bagged the rank in over a million city category.

Living Index 2020, prepared by the union ministry of housing and urban affairs, was released by union housing and urban affairs minister Hardeep Singh Puri. The assessment exercise was conducted last year in which 111 cities participated.

In terms of “quality of life”, Prayagraj with a score of 55.33 bagged 15th rank while in economic ability, it was ranked 45 with a score of 5.42.

However, in terms of sustainability, Sangam city with a score of 63.57 bagged 7th place. In terms of citizen perception, it was ranked 46 with a score of 68.00.

In municipal performance (overall), Sangam city scored 42.91 and bagged 37th rank. In terms of municipal services, with a score of 57.41 it was ranked at 20 while in finance it scored 52.20 and secured 29th place even as in technology it scored 25.09 and secured 31st rank. In municipal planning, it got a score of 26.78 and was ranked 42 in the country while in terms of municipal governance , with a score of 37.31 it secured 42nd rank.

IN TERMS OF “QUALITY OF LIFE”, PRAYAGRAJ WITH A SCORE OF 55.33 BAGGED 15TH RANK WHILE IN ECONOMIC ABILITY, IT WAS RANKED 45 WITH A SCORE OF 5.42.
