LUCKNOW: Over three months after a complaint was lodged against the principal of Vidyant Hindu Inter College, Virendra Nath Tiwari, for allegedly securing the job by submitting fake documents, action is yet to be taken regarding the matter.

While senior officials of secondary education department confirmed that an investigation was ordered against Tiwari they declined to comment on the delay and pending action in the matter. Following the complaint lodged on December 17, 2020, district inspector of school Lucknow Mukesh Singh began a probe in to the matter.

As per the complaint, Tiwari had submitted fake marksheet to UP Secondary Service Selection Board, Allahabadt bag the job. HT has a copy of the complaint and alleged fake marksheet which are attested by Tiwari himself. As per education department sources, one of his marksheets showed that he cleared graduation with second division from Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University, Faizabad while another reads he cleared graduation in 1st division. “We have been able to verify one of the marksheets which was found to be authentic. The other marksheet was submitted to the board so it could not be verified at my level,” said Singh who added that he has not communicated to the board about the second marksheet.

According to officials, Tiwari was earlier suspended in October 2008 after his marksheet was found forged when he was posted as the principal of KL Inter College in Gonda.

Tiwari, who is about to retire shortly, said the complaint was filed to malign his career.
