Tirath to remain BJP’s CM face, says Gautam
MUSSOORIE: There is no ant-incumbency in the state as most of the central schemes have reached the people, BJP state unit incharge Dushyant Kumar Gautam said here on Saturday. He also said Tirath Singh Rawat will remain the party’s chief ministerial face in the 2022 assembly elections.
Gautam was addressing a gathering of BJP members.
He asked the party workers to go among the people to make them aware of the development works done by the government in the state in the last four years of its tenure.
“Our governments at both the Centre and state have been empowering women through various schemes like Ujjwala and Beti Padao Beti Bachao. We have been working for comprehensive development of the state which the people also know,” said Gautam. The party was sure that the people of the state will once again support it and give it chance to serve them, he said.
On the anti-incumbency factor, he said, “There is no ant-incumbency as most of the central schemes have reached the people at grassroot level. Ayushman
health scheme had been extended to every one in Uttarakhand.”
The Congress countered him by saying the BJP government did nothing in the past four years.
“It did nothing on the front of development. During its rule the common man is only suffering from high price rise, unemployment rate and corruption. The people of the state have made up their mind to answer them in the 2022 polls by throwing them out of power,” said party state general secretary Vijay Saraswat.
