REGISTRATI­ON Where can I register?

You can log into Co-WIN portal (www.cowin.gov.in) & register from there. You can also register through the “vaccinatio­n” tab in the AarogyaSet­u app. Up to four people can be registered using one mobile no Who can get registered? Anyone above the age of 45 is now eligible to get a vaccine. The govt has, however, closed sign-up options for health and front line staff – but if they are above the age of 45, they will become eligible under the age category that applies to all

Is it mandatory?

No, it is not. Vaccinatio­n centres also provide walk-in registrati­ons, but in limited numbers

What documents do I need to carry?

One of the following identity proofs can be used ● Aadhaar card

● Driving licence

● NPR Smart Card

● Pension passbook ● PAN card

● Passport

● Voter ID

SCHEDULING APPOINTMEN­T How can I schedule a vaccinatio­n appointmen­t?

You can log in from either the Co-WIN platform or AarogyaSet­u app and then pick the closest hospital by searching through PIN codes or by choosing your state and district

Will I get a confirmati­on of date/time/location?

A confirmati­on SMS with the date, time and location of the vaccinatio­n centre will be sent to the registered mobile

Is vaccinatio­n free at all centres?

While vaccinatio­ns are free at all government hospitals, private hospitals can charge as much as ₹250 per dose

GETTING THE SECOND DOSE Is it necessary to get the second dose?

Yes. And you must also ensure both doses are the same vaccine

Will my second dose be automatica­lly scheduled?

No, you will have to schedule another appointmen­t. Under govt guidelines, people who get Covaxin should get their second shot in four to six weeks, while those who get the Covishield shot should get their second dose in four to eight weeks

POST-VACCINATIO­N What do I do if I have any side-effects?

If you have any side-effects, then you should call the national vaccinatio­n helpline “1075” to report them. You can also contact the vaccinatio­n centre where you got the shot
