SSL hosp launches tele OPD as physical OPD closed due to Covid surge
VARANASI: The physical OPDs and elective OTs at Sir Sundar Lal Hospital and Trauma Centre, IMS- BHU remained closed though tele OPD services started functioning on Tuesday.
This decision was taken by the Covid care and monitoring committee of the BHU in view of rise in number of Covid cases.
“Covid care and monitoring committee of the BHU took the decision to close the OPD and elective OT services at SSH and trauma centre in view of rising number of Covid cases. As per the decision of the committee, the tele OPD started functioning for consultancy from Tuesday,” said Dr Rajesh Singh, BHU public relation officer.
He said for consulting the doctors at Tele OPD, the patients have to get registered online along with their mobile or telephone number at https:// dexpertsystems.com/BHU on bhu.ac.in. The doctor will communicate with patients on the contact number given by the patient at the time of registration.
The physical OPDs of the department of Surgical Oncology and Radiotherapy and Radiation medicine (RT and RM) will continue and all Covid-19 protocol will be followed.
The patients will have to get registration done online for a consultation at the physical OPD at the department of RT and RM.
The registration will be done in online mode only.
Dr Singh said that total 50 patients for general specialty departments and 30 patients for super specialty departments, including follow up patients will be registered for tele consultancy service for each working day. This service will not be available for the patients on Sunday and official Holidays. It at all any patient has to be called in the OPD physically then the consultant will schedule prior appointment of the concerned patient.
In case patient is referred to any other department, he/she will have to get registered again online for the referred department.
THE DOCTOR WILL COMMUNICATE WITH PATIENTS ON THE CONTACT NUMBER GIVEN BY THE PATIENT AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.
