LUCKNOW : A group of over 20 people waiting outside an oxygen-refilling plant in Alambagh caused ruckus after they were told by the staff of the plant to return the next day. This was relayed to the customers after a team of the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) department directed them to concentrate on supplying oxygen to hospitals.

Somen Barma, police deputy commissioner, said, “The group caused ruckus outside the oxygen-filling plant at around 5pm in the evening. No one was injured in the incident.”

Reportedly, the said plant delivers oxygen cylinders to hospitals and some people also bring their empty oxygen cylinders to get filled there. A team of FSDA officials visited the firm and asked the management to ensure supply of oxygen cylinders to hospitals. People waiting to get their empty oxygen cylinders filled got angry and created a ruckus. The FSDA team managed to safely exit from plant while a police team from Alambagh police station spoke to people and were able to contain the situation. No police complaint was lodged regarding the matter.
