LUCKNOW LOGS 5,897 CASES; 22 SUCCUMB

LUCKNOW: The state capital logged 22 more deaths and 5,897 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to official data. With this, Lucknow’s death toll touched 1,525 and its overcall case count went up to 1,51,349 since the outbreak of the pandemic in March last year.

Prayagraj reported 1576 fresh cases, Kanpur 1365, Ghaziabad 827, Gautam Buddha Nagar 425, Gorakhpur 810, Meerut 911, Bareilly 389, Jhansi 632, Moradabad 421, Ballia 500 and Mathura 459.

Prayagraj recorded nine deaths, Kanpur 18, Meerut 4, Gorakhpur and Ballia 5 each and Varanasi 10.

“The recovery rate in Lucknow is 65.31%,” said Dr Abhishek Shukla, secretary general, Association of International Doctors. Till now, 98,860 patients have recovered in Lucknow.
