NOW, KASHI HAS 650 BEDS WITH OXYGEN SUPPORT

VARANASI: In view of the rising Covid-19 cases, the number of beds with oxygen support, has been increased to 650 from 275, in several hospitals of Varanasi, said an official on Tuesday.

MLC AK Sharma, divisional commission­er Deepak Agarwal and district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma held a meeting regarding this on Monday, and it was decided to add around 400 beds with oxygen facility in several hospitals of the city.

According to officials, 100 beds were increased in Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Varanasi; 94 beds at Trauma Centre, BHU; 60 beds in DLW Hospital; 40 beds in ESIC Hospital; 106 beds in Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital; 50 beds in Infinity Hospital; 100 beds in Heritage Hospital and 100 beds were increased at other non-government hospitals.
