FIR AGAINST COP FOR NOT WEARING MASK ON DUTY

PRAYAGRAJ : An FIR was lodged against a police constable at Kotwali police station for not wearing a mask while on duty. The constable was deployed in a police response vehicle (PRV). The case was registered on the instructions of SSP Sarvshrestha Tripathi. The SSP is carrying out surprise inspections at different crossings and markets across the district to ensure all wear masks. On Tuesday, SSP Tripathi was on a routine inspection when he spotted a constable in a PRV without a mask. SSP pulled up the constable and instructed the Kotwali police to take action against him.

SHO Kotwali police station Vinod Kumar said an FIR under the Epidemic Act has been lodged.
