Muslim women perform ‘arti’ of Lord Ram in Varanasi
VARANASI: Five Muslim women performed arti of Lord Sriram at Sriram Ashram in Indresh Nagar, Lamahi in Varanasi on the occasion of Ramnavami on Wednesday.
Social activist Naznin Ansari led the arti which included Najma Parveen, Nagina Bano, Tabassum and Najma Bano.
Ansari said that only few Muslim women participated in the arti due to covid protocol. “This is a tough time as the global pandemic has shaken the world. We performed and offered prayers to Lord Sriram for getting India rid of the global pandemic,” she said.
Ansari said that the people should chant the name of Lord Ram for getting positive energy.
Vishal Bharat Sansthan chief Dr Rajiv Srivastava said that Muslim women gave a message of communal harmony and unity. “Name of Lord Ram will protect the country from this pandemic,” he said.
