COPS URGED TO USE MASK, GO FOR VACCINATION
VARANASI: Commissioner of police A Satish Ganesh has appealed to all the police personnel to wear double masks during their duty in the field. He also appealed to cops to give up chewing of ‘paan’ and ‘Gutkha’ as it may spread COVID-19 infection.
He said many police personnel have taken the first dose of Covid vaccine but are yet to take their second dose.
“We will ensure that those who took first shot of the Covid vaccine take the second shot on priority basis,” he said while urging inspectors, station officers and police outpost in-charges to motivate their subordinates for vaccination.
He said that all the police personnel have been asked to inform their senior officers immediately if anyone of them develops Covid symptoms. He said that early detection is a way out for it timely control and treatment.
He instructed the station officers, police outpost in-charges to make sure that thermal scanning of every police personal twice when he signs in for the duty and before he signs off the duty daily. All police stations must be equipped with pulse oxymeter, sanitizer and thermal scanner.
Commissioner of police expressed grief over untimely death of sub inspector Anil Srivastava who was under treatment at a hospital.
Vaccination camp at Reserve Police line
A Covid vaccination camp was organised at the Reserve Police Lines for the vaccination of police personnel. A total of 813 police personnel were vaccinated the camp.
