VARANASI REPORTS 1,597 FRESH CASES, NINE DEATHS

VARANASI: While nine people succumbed to the infection, as many as 1,597 fresh cases of COVID-19 were found in Varanasi on Thursday. With these fresh cases, active cases tally increased to 16,339 in the district, said acting chief medical officer Dr NP Singh. Dr Singh said that 1,381 people recovered from Covid in home isolation.

Singh also claimed that tracking, testing and treatment is being constantly increased in the district in view of the rising cases of Covid-19.
