Cops put warning boards outside sealed lanes
Movement in these containment zones will be restricted for 14 days but some respite will be given if no new case surfaces

PRAYAGRAJ : The Prayagraj administration has sealed 149 lanes in different localities of the city till now after a large number of people were tested positive for coronavirus there. The movement in these containment zones will be restricted until 14 days but some respite will be given if no new case of Covid-19 appears within the period.
On Friday, officials sealed lanes at Triveni Gas Godown in Teliarganj, Mahaveer Puri, Shivkuti Road, locality around Shivkuti police station, Bakshi Khurd, Pannalal Road, Post
Office crossing in Georgetown, lane near Akhilesh Hospital, SC Basu Road, Kakkad Road, lane near Jamuna Christian College, Sangam Vihar Colony, some lanes in Shahganj, Meerapur, Kareli C Block, Hari Masjid, Azad Nagar, Kasari Masari, Peepal Gali in Naini, Narmedshwar Temple and Narayan Das ka Pura in Jhunsi.
Meanwhile, police had to start putting up warning boards at the barricading installed in these sealed lanes. The boards warn the protocol flouters that action will be initiated against them under the Epidemic Act.
It is worth mentioning that despite being sealed, the residents of containment zones often try to cross the barricading to go outside. Some remove the poles and bamboos while at many places they were found broken. The incidents of scuffles between cops and locals over removing barricades have also been reported from Khuldabad, Colonelganj and Dhumanganj
areas. Colonelganj police have also lodged an FIR against unidentified persons for breaking the barriers at a containment zone. In the first initiative, Dhumanganj police have put up warning boards outside containment zones to completely restrict movements. SHO Dhumanganj Anupam Sharma said persons on bikes and bicycles often try to cross the barricades. With the help of locals, the warning boards have been put up and violaters will be identified, he added.
