UPPSC begins preparations for PCS (Pre)-2021
PRAYAGRAJ: : Despite Covid-19 raging in the state, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has started making preparation to hold PCS prelim exam 2021 in June.
The commission has decided to stick to its earlier announced calendar for holding different exams and the preparations are being made accordingly.
Earlier, in January, the commission had announced that it planned to conduct the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Eaxmination-2021,
commonly known as PCS (Pre)-2021, along with Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)/Range Forest Officer (RFO) Preliminary Exam2021 on June 13.
Authorities have written to the district magistrate of the respective cities where the centres would be made to conduct the written exam.
“As of now, the exam would be held as per already announced exam calendar and we have started making preparations”, said UPPSC secretary, Jagdish.
The PCS (pre) exam will be held in 23 districts of the state from June 13 onwards. The exam will be held in two sessions, 9.30 to 11:30 am and 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Every centre will have a maximum of 500 candidates only and each of these candidates would be seated in such a way so that social distancing is strictly followed.
The secretary has written to district magistrates (DM) of various districts on April 22 asking them about the proposal regarding the exam centres that could be made. These include Agra, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Barabanki, Bareilly, Basti, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mathura, Meerut, Mirzapur, Muradabad, Prayagraj, Raebareli, Saharanpur, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Varanasi
It is to be noted that most of the exam centres would be located in urban areas. The primary schools, both government and aided, would be given priority as centres.
