NCR TO GET 10 OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS TODAY
PRAYAGRAJ: The North Central Railway (NCR) is all set to receive 10 oxygen concentrators of 10-litre capacity each from Shakur Basti Railway Stores Depot, near Delhi, NCR officials said.
As an initiative under Mission Oxygen, Plasser India Ltd has provided 70 oxygen concentrators to Shakur Basti Railway Stores Depot as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Shivam Sharma, CPRO, NCR said.
In his efforts to strengthen the Covid-19 infrastructure at Central Hospital-Prayagraj and Jhansi, General Manager NCR VK Tripathi put a request to Railway Board and got 10 of these oxygen concentrators allotted for NCR, he added.
Central Railway Hospital, Prayagraj and Jhansi, both have been nominated as Level-2 hospitals for admission of Covid-19 patients. The hospitals are providing health care facilities to Railway as well as non-Railway Covid-19 patients.
Principal Chief Medical Director, NCR, Anand Tandon informed that they are in touch with the Railway Board and it is expected that these oxygen concentrators will be delivered to the hospital on Tuesday (May 11). These 10 oxygen concentrators will equally be divided between Railway Hospital Jhansi and Prayagraj (5 each), he explained.
With the installation of these oxygen concentrators, NCR’s fight against Covid-19 will gain new momentum. NCR is in the process of strengthening its health infrastructure against Covid and more such equipment will be provided to Railway Hospitals in days to come, said Tandon.
