PMC to award bonus to employees before Eid

PRAYAGRAJ: The Prayagraj Municipal Corporatio­n has decided to provide bonus to its employees. This financial assistance would be transferre­d in the bank accounts of all the beneficiar­ies before Eid, said public relation officer (PRO), of PMC, PK Mishra.

Mishra said that an amount of around Rs 5.80 crore would be incurred in giving this financial assistance to its staff.

He said that bonus would be given to all the 2,130 employees of PMC for which an amount of around Rs 1.85 crore would be spent. Likewise, the workforce of 1404 sanitation staff members would be given the arrear of 7th pay commission for which an amount of around Rs 3.1 crore would be spent, he added.

“The retired employees will also be given the arrear of 7th pay commission for which an amount of around Rs 1.60 crore would be incurred. There are around 1,200 retired employees of PMC”, said the PRO.

“Without any doubt the role of PMC has been extensivel­y appreciate­d by the common man and the administra­tion alike and we want to thank our employee and provide them with this monetary assistance which will be debited in their account within the next two days”, said municipal commission­er, Ravi Ranjan.

Meanwhile, according to ADM city, AK Kanojia, all the wholesaler­s of grocery and ration item in the city have been allowed to open their shops from 7am to 8pm. However, the shop owners have been asked to strictly comply with Covid protocols and suitable punitive action would be taken against those who fail to do so.
