Yogi’s effective mgmt curbed Covid in UP: Swatantra Dev
HE SAID EVERY WORKER OF THE PARTY WAS READY FOR THE 2022 UP ASSEMBLY ELECTION
VARANASI : Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh said here on Sunday that under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, chief minister Yogi Adityanath worked very hard to ensure effective Covid management due to which corona spread was controlled in the state in a short time.
Singh was in Varanasi to pay tribute to party workers and people who succumbed to the Covid in the temple town. He paid tribute to coordinator of Namami Gange project, the late Markandey Verma, at Sudiya (Bulanala).
He also prayed for the late Dr Ashwani Jain at Parvatipuri Colony, Gurubagh. Later, he called on Padma Vibhushan Pandit Chhannulal Mishra and expressed his grief over the death of Mirsha’s wife and daughter due to Covid.
In an interaction with media persons, Singh said, “Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, who himself got infected during the second wave of the pandemic, served 24 crore people of the state soon after recovering.
“Working round the clock, Yogi visited all the districts of the state and met people to know about the problems being faced by them during the pandemic. Adequate beds, oxygen, medicines etc were made available in each district as a result of which corona was controlled in a short time,” he added.
Flaying the opposition parties, Singh said, “During the corona crisis, the opposition only misled people by spreading rumours due to which the problem compounded.”
He said every worker of the party was ready for the 2022 UP assembly election. Singh also said Covid wreaked havoc in the entire country.
Due to the pandemic, several people, including party workers, lost their lives. In this hour of crisis, the party has decided that ministers, MPs, MLAs will go to their homes to pay homage, he said.
Earlier in the morning, Singh visited Kashi Vishwanath and Baba Kalbhairav temples.
