Minor girl kills mother, says her lover tried to rape her

IT IS ALLEGED THAT THE WOMAN CAME UNDER PRESSURE AND ALLOWED HER PARAMOUR TO RAPE HER DAUGHTER.

A 16-year-old girl allegedly killed her mother with the help of her two uncles after her mother’s paramour tried to rape her in a village in trans-Yamuna area of Prayagraj district on Wednesday night, police said.

The girl claimed that her mother had given consent for the act. She and her two uncles have been arrested while raids are on to arrest the paramour who is on the run, they said.

According to reports, 38-year-old woman lived with her five children, including her 16-year-old daughter, in a village in Khiri area of trans-Yamuna region of the district. The woman’s husband had left her sometimes back following which she developed an affair with another man.

It is reported that the man used to bear all expenses of the woman and her children. The paramour’s advances towards the minor girl resulted in scuffles between him and the woman.

On Wednesday night, the man came to their house and demanded back Rs 10,000 which he had given as expenses to the family. It is alleged that the woman came under pressure and allowed her paramour to rape her daughter. However, the 16-year-old girl chased away the man.

Her two uncles (father’s brothers), who lived nearby, also rushed to the spot on hearing her cries. In a fit of rage, the trio assaulted the woman with sticks which resulted in her death on the spot.

On Thursday, the woman’s kin reached the spot and alleged that her in-laws conspired to kill her.

In-charge of Khiri police station Maseed Khan said that on their complaint, an FIR was lodged against the 16-year-old girl and her two uncles. “On Friday, they were arrested in a raid.

The minor accused was produced before the juvenile court. An FIR will also be lodged against the deceased woman’s paramour, and he will be arrested soon,” Khan added.
