Gear up to vaccinate 10-12 lakh people every day from July 1: Adityanath
CM Yogi says the cluster model of vaccination should be implemented in all districts from next month
LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday asked for expeditious Covid-19 vaccination in Uttar Pradesh. He said over 89 lakh vaccine doses had already been administered against the target of one crore vaccination set in the state for June. Yogi was reviewing the Covid-19 situation at a high-level meeting here. Sharing the vaccination data, the CM claimed over 6 lakh persons had been provided vaccine cover for second consecutive day after the launch of grand vaccination campaign on June 21. He told officers to prepare to vaccinate 10 to 12 lakh persons every day from July 1.

Sharing the vaccination data, the CM claimed over 6 lakh persons had been provided vaccine cover for second consecutive day after the launch of grand vaccination campaign on June 21.
“While 7,29,197 were given vaccine cover on the first day of grand campaign, on the second day 8,24,008 persons were covered. In all, more than 2,72,53,000 vaccine doses had been administered up to now,” the CM said, while adding, “More than 41 lakh persons have received both the doses of Covid-19 vaccine up to now.”
Insisting that there was enthusiasm about the vaccination among people of all the age groups, the CM said more than 5,32,000 persons had been vaccinated in 18-45 age group in the total 8 lakhs plus vaccinations carried out on Tuesday.
He said a pilot project for vaccination in rural areas had been launched and this had shown good results. He said the cluster model of vaccination should be implemented in all the districts from July 1.
He told officers to prepare to vaccinate 10 to 12 lakh persons every day from July 1.
Yogi said the second wave of Covid-19 had been contained following consistent efforts made to check its spread in the state.
He said 3,666 patients were undergoing Covid-19 treatment,
while 16,78,788 patients have so far recovered.
He said UP’s recovery rate was 98.5% while positivity rate has come down to 0.1%. He said 5,59,99,840 Covid tests have been carried out so far.
Yogi said the state was becoming self-reliant on oxygen availability
front and 525 new oxygen plants had been set up in 75 districts. He said work on setting up new plants should be consistently monitored, and coordination should be maintained with the union government.
He said water level in rivers should be consistently monitored
and teams of NDRF, SDRF and disaster management should remain in active mode round the clock.
He said relief should not be delayed in flood affected areas. He said necessary action should be taken to work out action plan to boost exports of mango.
