CM for gene sequencing of Sultanpur family’s samples

Yogi Adityanath said a total of 20 people were found Covid-19 positive in Sultanpur recently and all were related to one family. Preliminary tracing indicated that they had recently returned from Maharashtra, he said.

“Collect samples of all these Covid positive (patients) and get the genome sequencing done on them to find the virus strain,” he said to the officers concerned.

He also asked for intensifying tracing and testing in the block where these cases surfaced and called for special alertness in the entire Sultanpur district.
