ALLAHABAD HC TO RESUME PHYSICAL HEARING FROM JULY 14

PRAYAGRAJ : The Allahabad high court is set to resume the physical hearing at both Allahabad and Lucknow campuses, from Wednesday (July 14).

The court has finalized and released the guidelines in this regard. However, virtual mode of hearing too, would continue to take place. Only those advocates would be permitted to enter into the high court premises who have been vaccinated. They will have to keep the certificat­e and show them at the time of entry into the premises without any protest. Also, the advocates would have to adhere to Covid protocol.

PRAYAGRAJ: The Allahabad high court is set to resume the physical hearing at both Allahabad and Lucknow campuses, from Wednesday (July 14).

The court has finalized and released the guidelines in this regard. However, virtual mode of hearing too, shall continue to take place. Those advocates would be permitted to enter into the high court premises, who have been vaccinated and for that, they will keep the certificat­e with them to be shown at the time of entry into the premises without any protest, otherwise, the committee may withdraw physical hearing arrangemen­t.

During the course of physical hearing, the advocates would adhere to the Covid protocol and accordingl­y, will wear a face mask/cover and maintain social and physical distancing. Only those advocates would enter the high court premises whose cases are listed and for that they will show the listing of the case on mobile or by other modes.

During the physical hearing, the advocates would be permitted to opt for the virtual hearing with advance informatio­n to the registry.

At a time, not more than ten advocates will remain in a courtroom. The robes prescribed for the advocates shall remain suspended. The advocates will enter into the high court through the gate separately notified for Allahabad and Lucknow campuses.

In addition to it, the consumptio­n of ‘Pan’, ‘Gutka’ and Tobacco, inside the high court premises shall be prohibited.

Spitting in the high court premises shall be prohibited and will attract punishment, the guidelines added. In case, 50 or more Covid positive cases are detected for three consecutiv­e days, then the physical hearing of the cases would get suspended automatica­lly till further orders.

In the first phase, the advocates’ chamber will not be opened, however, if system of physical hearing on the guidelines framed by high court remains successful, decision about the opening of chambers would be taken, guidelines added.
