PRSU to conduct offline UG, PG exams at 471 centres from July 15

PRAYAGRAJ Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University (PRSU), Prayagraj, has geared up to conduct offline examinatio­ns of its 1.20 lakh undergradu­ate (UG) second year students, 1.11 lakh UG final year students and 35,000 postgradua­te (PG) final year students from July 15. The exams will conclude on July 29.

The examinatio­ns would be conducted in three shifts at 471 examinatio­n centres spread across the four districts of Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh and Fatehpur, informed vice-chancellor of PRSU, Prof Akhilesh Kumar Singh. Last year, the exams were conducted at 298 centres in these districts, he added.

As per the orders of the state government issued in light of the prevailing threat of Covid-19, 1.26 lakh students enrolled in the first year of UG courses and another 35,000 enrolled in the first year of PG courses have been promoted to their next classes.

University officials said that a total of 341 centers had been set up for the annual examinatio­n while the remaining were for the semester exams. Out of the 341 exam centres for the annual exams, maximum 170 examinatio­n centers had been set up in Prayagraj, 88 in Pratapgarh, 48 in Fatehpur and 35 in Kaushambi.

Likewise for the semester exams, maximum 80 examinatio­n centers had been set up in Prayagraj, 45 in Pratapgarh, 20 in Fatehpur and 10 in Kaushambi, they said.

The Prayagraj-based University is among the newest state universiti­es of Uttar Pradesh set up in 2016. The university has 321 affiliated colleges in Prayagraj, 71 in Kaushambi, 72 in Fatehpur and 146 in Pratapgarh districts.
