Now, UPPSC begins recruitmen­t of 3,012 nurses in state

PRAYAGRAJ : The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has set the process rolling for recruitmen­t of 3,012 nurses against existing vacancies in government medical colleges, hospitals and community health centres (CHCs) across the state on behalf of medical and health services department, medical education and training department and King George Medical University.

It has come within days of UPPSC issuing advertisem­ents for direct recruitmen­t of doctors in government hospitals and medical colleges. These recruitmen­ts are also being seen as part of the efforts by UP government to gear up for the predicted third wave of the pandemic.

“With the advertisem­ent issued, the process of submitting applicatio­ns has now started. August 12 has been fixed as the last date for deposition of applicatio­n fee in the bank and August 16 has been fixed as the last date for submission of online applicatio­ns for the staff nurse/sister grade-2 (male/female) examinatio­n-2021,” said UPPSC secretary Jagdish (he goes by one name) .

UPPSC secretary said the detailed advertisem­ent spelling out the qualificat­ions and age limits etc had been made available on the official website of the commission—http:// uppsc.up.nic.in/.

As per the annual calendar of recruitmen­t examinatio­ns released by the UPPSC, the exam is scheduled to be held on October 3, 2021. The age limit fixed for applicants is between 21 and 40 years as on July 1, 2021 with relaxation­s as per set government norms, the notificati­on says. The nurses would be recruited in group ‘B’ nongazette­d pay scale of Rs 930034800, grade pay Rs 4600 (revised pay scale level-7 pay matrix Rs 44900-142400), it adds.

Presently, the number of vacancies for the post of staff nurse/sister grade-2 (male) is 341 and 2,671 for females. The vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the circumstan­ces and requiremen­ts, officials made plain.
