Now, UPPSC begins recruitment of 3,012 nurses in state
PRAYAGRAJ : The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has set the process rolling for recruitment of 3,012 nurses against existing vacancies in government medical colleges, hospitals and community health centres (CHCs) across the state on behalf of medical and health services department, medical education and training department and King George Medical University.
It has come within days of UPPSC issuing advertisements for direct recruitment of doctors in government hospitals and medical colleges. These recruitments are also being seen as part of the efforts by UP government to gear up for the predicted third wave of the pandemic.
“With the advertisement issued, the process of submitting applications has now started. August 12 has been fixed as the last date for deposition of application fee in the bank and August 16 has been fixed as the last date for submission of online applications for the staff nurse/sister grade-2 (male/female) examination-2021,” said UPPSC secretary Jagdish (he goes by one name) .
UPPSC secretary said the detailed advertisement spelling out the qualifications and age limits etc had been made available on the official website of the commission—http:// uppsc.up.nic.in/.
As per the annual calendar of recruitment examinations released by the UPPSC, the exam is scheduled to be held on October 3, 2021. The age limit fixed for applicants is between 21 and 40 years as on July 1, 2021 with relaxations as per set government norms, the notification says. The nurses would be recruited in group ‘B’ nongazetted pay scale of Rs 930034800, grade pay Rs 4600 (revised pay scale level-7 pay matrix Rs 44900-142400), it adds.
Presently, the number of vacancies for the post of staff nurse/sister grade-2 (male) is 341 and 2,671 for females. The vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the circumstances and requirements, officials made plain.
