ANUPRIYA FOR VINDHYA UNIV IN MIRZAPUR
VARANASI : Union minister of state for commerce and industry Anupriya Patel on Sunday said Vindhya Vishwavidyalaya (Vindhya university) should be set up in Mirzapur.
Speaking on the occasion of foundation laying of Vindhyachal corridor in Mirzapur, Patel said, “UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has given a lot to Mirzapur. He visited the district several times. He is here today (Sunday) for the foundation laying of his dream project.
So, I want to demand the chief minister that Vindhya University should be set up in Mirzapur to fulfil the dream of its people.” She also thanked the chief minister for naming Mirzapur government medical college after Apna Dal founder Dr Sonelal Patel.
Welcoming Union home minister Amit Shah, Patel, who represents Mirzapur in Lok Sabha, said, “It is my great luck that I am welcoming such a Union home minister who has taken a resolution to build unmatched infrastructure for security of the country borders. As a results, roads are being built. Infrastructure of strategic importance is also coming up. ‘Atal Tunnel’ is an example of it. As a result, boundaries of India far more secured now.”
The union minister thanked PM Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah for 27% reservation to OBC candidates in medical colleges. She also thanked them for reserving 10% seats for the candidates of economically weaker sections in undergraduate and postgraduate medical and dental courses.
On Vindhyachal corridor, she said, “Mirzapur is known for Maa Vindhyavasini temple. The corridor will add a number of facilities to the temple for devotees.”
