MAN HELD FOR CLICKING WOMEN’S PICS AT SANGAM

PRAYAGRAJ: Daraganj police on Sunday arrested a man for allegedly clicking photograph­s of women and girls who were taking a stroll at Sangam. The man’s mobile was seized by the police.

According to reports, sub-inspector Arvind Singh and his team were on patrol at Sangam when they received informatio­n about a man allegedly clicking photograph­s of women without their permission. The police team reached the spot and detained the man identified as Namit Sinha of Old Mumfordgan­j area.

SI Arvind Singh said that police team seized his mobile and found the photograph­s of women following which Namit was arrested. An FIR was lodged against the accused under section 354 of IPC.

2 online fraudsters held PRAYAGRAJ: The crime branch of Prayagraj police traced and arrested two persons involved in duping people online on different pretexts. The accused were residents of Delhi and Rajasthan, who used to lure bank customers through messages and social media platforms, police said.

SP (crime) Ashutosh Mishra said Ajay Kumar Jatav of Delhi and Man Singh Meena of Karoli district in Rajasthan were arrested on a tip-off provided by the crime branch on Sunday.

“The duo was wanted in a case of IT Act lodged at Shivkuti police station. Both used to lure people through online portal and withdraw money from their bank accounts. It is believed the duo had duped many people during the last few years. They are being questioned further,” he added.
