UP RERA to inspect projects
LUCKNOW : The UP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has decided to carry out on-the-spot inspection of ongoing projects of developers who have sought extension of registration period of their projects due to the pandemic.
The regulatory authority has decided to extend registration period of projects whose deadline is expiring on December 31 this year.
However, the regulatory authority has made it clear that inspection of such projects will be carried out by a UP RERA team.
“A RERA team will carry out on-the-spot inspection of ongoing projects of those developers who want to extension of the deadline of registration period which is expiring on December 31 this year,” said Rajesh Kumar Tyagi, secretary, UP RERA.
“Extension will be granted to only those developers who are complying with all guidelines of the UP RERA,” he added.

original registration or extended registration is ending on or before December 31, 2021.
“The regulatory authority feels that granting some additional time for completion of the projects will facilitate the completion of so many projects leading to delivery of houses to a large number of homebuyers who are eagerly waiting to get possession of their houses,” said Tyagi.
The UP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has constituted several teams to carry out on-the-spot inspection of such projects.
