On constructi­on work of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the CM said: “PM Narendra Modi had performed bhumi pujan of Ram Mandir on August 5, 2020. For the past 500 years constructi­on work of Ram Mandir was due.”

“I worshipped Ram Lalla today and thereafter I also worshipped new model of Ram Mandir. I congratula­te everyone on this occasion (one year of bhumi pujan). Commenting on vaccinatio­n drive against Covid-19, the CM stated that 5.21 crore people have been vaccinated in the state.

He also pointed out that 6.67 crore people have been tested for Covid-19 across the state till date.

Foundation work of Ram Mandir is going on at Ram Janmabhoom­i. It is likely to be completed by the last week of September or first week of October and thereafter second phase of constructi­on work of temple will start in November.

In temple’s foundation, 44 layers of 300 mm each will be laid. Thereafter, each layer will be compressed with two kinds of rollers- simple roller and vibrating roller.

The foundation, which will be 107 feet above sea level, is being made of layers of stones. For filling the temple’s foundation, gitti (pebble) of Banda, coarse sand, fly ash and asbestos is being used. shares of a foreign company (indirect transfer of Indian assets) was a subject matter of protracted litigation.

The Supreme Court in 2012 had given a verdict that gains arising from indirect transfer of Indian assets are not taxable under the extant provisions of the Act.But to circumvent this, the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961, were amended by the Finance Act, 2012, with retrospect­ive effect, to clarify that gains arising from the sale of shares of a foreign company is taxable in India if such shares, directly or indirectly, derive their value substantia­lly from assets located in India. “Pursuant thereto, income-tax demand had been raised in 17 cases,” the objects of the Bill said.
