Students’ decision to challenge to be two-phase process
PRAYAGRAJ : Students of Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University (PRSU) and its affiliated colleges will now be entitled to a two-phase challenge of their exam answer sheet evaluation if they are dissatisfied with it.
The undergraduate and postgraduate examinations were conducted by the university in offline mode in July 2021 and the results of these examinations are now all set to be declared by August 31. After this, students dissatisfied with the evaluation and marks awarded to them will be able to apply for ‘Challenge Assessment’ within 30 days, inform varsity officials.
Vice-chancellor Akhilesh Kumar Singh said that students dissatisfied with the marks obtained in the examination will be able to challenge the evaluation in two phases.
“In the first stage, they will be able to apply and see the scanned copy of the answer sheet, and if they are dissatisfied with the evaluation, they will be able to apply for ‘challenge evaluation’ in the second stage,” Singh said.
The online application for the first phase will need to be done within 30 days from the date of result declaration.
For this, a fee of Rs 300 will have to be paid per question paper. After this, the scanned copy of the answer sheet will be provided to the candidate concerned.
For the second stage, candidates have to apply within 45 days from the date of declaration of result. For this, a fee of Rs 2,500 per question paper will have to be submitted online. After this, the university will get the answer sheet re-examined by appointing an examiner, the V-C said.
