‘Path of progress, dev of India passes through UP’
PRAYAGRAJ: BJP national vicepresident and state in-charge Radha Mohan Singh on Saturday said that earlier political leaders used to say that the path to power in New Delhi passed through Uttar Pradesh, but PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath had proven that it’s actually the path of progress and development of the country that passed through the state.
Singh was speaking at the Allahabad North Legislative Assembly ‘Prabudh Sammellan’ (Convention of the Enlightened) at MLN Medical College auditorium organised by the BJP.
Addressing party workers and leaders as the chief guest, Singh said just yesterday he was in Ayodhya and the people with pride told him that the city was set to become the most beautiful city of the world soon.
“Modi in the country and Yogi in the state were working at a great pace and ushering in progress and development in the fields of education, medical and health services, highways, civil aviation, agriculture and industry, besides also focusing on infrastructure development and tourism sites’ development,” he said. Singh claimed that the state government had also succeeded in ending ‘Gundaraj’ in UP during its tenure.
“Illegally occupied and accumulated properties worth Rs 1,574 crore have been freed from criminals and land sharks and which are now being utilised for the benefit of the common man,” he said while giving a slogan “Dil se Modi, Phir se Yogi” for the 2022 UP Assembly Polls. He said that Yogi was the hope of UP and he was necessary to ensure state’s progress and development.
Select teachers were also felicitated on the occasion of Teacher’s Day during the convention. Those felicitated included Yashwant Chaudhary, Kamla Tripathi, Harsh Savitri, Rajesh Mishra, Bhanu Prasad Tiwari, Asha Singh, Gargi Srivastava and Bhavesh Singh among others.
A number of senior BJP leaders, including UP cabinet minister Sidharth Nath Singh, state vice-president Lakshman Acharya, Mayor Abhilasha Gupta Nandi, MLAs Harshvardhan Bajpai, Ajay Bhartiya and MLC Surendra Chaudhary were also present.
