‘Youth must contribute to progress of nation’

VARANASI : The youth of the country have to come forward and contribute to the progress of the nation, India’s Lokpal, justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose has said.

Speaking at a seminar on ‘Transformi­ng India with the help of youth’, organised by Yuva Chetna, in Varanasi, justice Ghose, also the chief guest, said that Yuva Chetna is doing good work at the national level. He said, “I am still young to serve the people. Whenever there has been a revolution in India, youth played an active role in that. The 70-year-old prime minister is also young and doing good work.”

Justice Ghosh along with Swami Abhishek Brahmachar­i, Rohit Kumar Singh, national convener of Yuva Chetna, Dr TN Singh, director, IIT Patna, Krishna Kumar Khemka, trustee, Gita Press, and entreprene­ur Manoj Goyal jointly inaugurate­d the seminar.

said that young sannyasis like Adiguru Shankarach­arya, Swami Karpatri ji, Swami Vivekanand­a worked for the uplift of the country.

Presiding over the seminar, Rohit Kumar Singh said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should now constitute a National Youth Commission for the uplift of youth. From Mangal Pandey to Bhagat Singh, several youths sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. Singh said that the youth should unite to make India a world guru.

Dr TN Singh said that under the guidance of elders, youth will have to be determined to develop India.

Khemka said that the developmen­t of the nation will have to be through disciplini­ng youth through sanskars.

Entreprene­ur Manoj Goyal said that the youth has created history by serving the poor sections of India during the Covid-19 period.
