ANOTHER ACCUSED IN SHINE CITY FRAUD CASE ARRESTED

VARANASI: In an inter-state operation, one more accused in the Shine City fraud case was arrested from a hotel in Jaipur Rajasthan, said commission­er of police, Varanasi A Satish Ganesh on Sunday. Earlier, three accused in the case from Varanasi, Aryan Bhargav, Mushtaq Alam and Ashish Kumar, had already been arrested from different locations.

Ganesh said one of the main accused, Rajiv Singh, in multicrore fraud of Shine City group, was arrested from a hotel in Jaipur. Multiple cases of Shine City fraud were registered in Varanasi. Singh, a native of Kaimur (Bihar), was wanted in these cases. Singh is one of the kingpins of Rs 287 Crore Shine City fraud, in which hundreds of citizens have invested their hardearned money.

He said that Singh was hiding in a four-star hotel in Jaipur for the past many days under a fake identity. This is 4th major arrest by the cops of Varanasi Commission­erate. He said that a local court of Varanasi had issued a non bailable warrant (NBW) against Rajiv Singh.

Commission­er of police said for the last several years, Rajiv had been living in Satsang Vihar Colony in Susuwahi area of Varanasi.
