GOA RJD UNIT MERGES WITH JD(U)
PATNA: The Janata Dal (United) said Tuesday that the Goa unit of its arch rival in Bihar, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has merged with it.
“Under the leadership of RJD’s Goa unit president Ahmed Kader, prominent party leaders along with their supporters took the membership of JD(U),” said JD(U) national general secretary Afaq Ahmed Khan, who enrolled them into the party in New Delhi.
JD(U)’s in-charge of Goa, Harshvardhan Singh, said, “This merger and the new responsibility given to the leaders of Goa will strengthen the organization of JD(U) at the grassroots level in Goa. This is a new beginning in view of the upcoming assembly elections in February next year.”
After the merger, party’s national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh appointed Ahmed Kader as Goa unit president of JD(U).
