GORAKHPUR : A case for abetment of suicide under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the principal, the manager and a teacher of Adarsh Bal Vidya Mandir, a private junior high school, with Chiluatal police station of Gorakhpur district on Sunday after a class 8 boy of the school died by suicide on Saturday, police said.

The case was registered on the complaint of the father of the deceased.

The boy, who studied at a school in Kushara village of the district, was hurt over his expulsion from the school for complaining against a woman teacher who had allegedly thrashed his younger brother on Friday, they added.

In his suicide note recovered by police, the 15-year-old boy blamed his class teacher, principal and manager for his extreme step, the police said.

Confirming this, station house officer, Chiluatal police station, Vikas Agnihotri said while police arrested the school manager from his residence on Sunday, a hunt was on to trace and arrest the other two accused who were absconding. As per report, the boy met his school manager on Friday and made a complaint against the woman teacher alleging that she had thrashed his younger brother repeatedly. However, instead of acting on the boy’s complaint, the manager expelled him from the school.

When the police personnel broke open the door, they found the body of the boy hanging from the ceiling there. They also recovered a suicide note from the spot. Subsequently, a forensic team was rushed to the spot to collect evidence.
