DEHRADUN: The BJP state unit is chalking out separate strategies for each seats where the party won, lost and lost by a small margin during the 2017 state assembly election ahead of the next year’s state polls, its president said on Sunday.

BJP state president Madan Kaushik made the revelation after attending the national executive committee meeting of the BJP along with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, party general secretary (organisation) Ajaey Kumar, former CMs Trivendra Singh Rawat and Vijay Bahuguna and minister Satpal Maharaj through virtual medium.

“During the meeting, we discussed strategy for the upcoming assembly election with the central leadership,” Kaushik told the media at the party state headquarters in Dehradun.

He said, “The party is already involved in all the preparations for the election by leaving no stone unturned. The moves which were planned during the brainstorming session of party in Ramnagar of Nainital district a few months ago, have already been implemented. Apart from that, we are chalking out separate strategies for each of the seats where we won, where we lost and where we lost by a small margin.”

He also said the BJP was making a strategy for migrants of state. “This will be a vital part of our poll strategy for the 2022 election. The government is carrying various development projects under young Dhami. We are very sure that the people of the state will bless us again in the polls and give us another chance to serve them,” he said.

Congress state president Ganesh Godiyal said: “It won’t matter how many meetings they hold or what sort of strategy they make. They have done nothing for the development of state... The public is waiting to hand them a rout which they will remember.”
