They are observing November month as Traffic awareness month during which many programmes are being launched across the district to make the people aware of traffic rules.

Traffic police organized a meeting with office bearers of Tempo, Taxi and e-rickshaw union leaders on Wednesday. Tempo and e-rickshaw drivers were informed about traffic rules.

They were told to avoid blocking spaces at crossings while waiting for passengers and give way to vehicles turning to the left at traffic signals. Besides, the drivers were asked not to over speed on roads and avoid applying sudden brakes to take passengers on busy routes as it may cause collision of vehicles at the rear.
