Prayagraj MP pulls up PNN staff over missing photos in viral video

PRAYAGRAJ: A video of Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Lok Sabha MP from Prayagraj Rita Bahuguna Joshi pulling up officials over her photograph, and that of other former mayors of the city missing from the Prayarag Nagar Nigam (PNN) hall has gone viral on the social media. The video was reportedly shot on November 9 during the meeting of the Nagar Nigam house when the MP reportedly got upset on finding her photograph missing and snapped at the PNN officials.

“I was shocked to see how disorganised they are. The walls did not have a picture of any of the former mayors of the city, be it Shyama Charan Gupta, Jitendra Nath Singh or myself. On being asked, I was told that the pictures have been damaged by termites. If that was the case, they could have procured new pictures or could even have asked us for but they failed to do so” Joshi said.

“The administration of Hindustani Academy is organised, but here at PNN, they had put up picture of leaders who have passed away with garlands on their photo frame. I have suggested putting up the pictures of leaders who had passed away on one wall and those of former mayors on another wall. It would look more organised,” she said. Public relations officer of PNN and tax officer, PK Mishra said, “The respected MP had pointed out that photos of former mayors were not displayed and we told her that since the pictures have been damaged because of termites and the PNN House is being renovated, fresh pictures would be placed on the walls in due course of time.”
