MNNIT’S ANNUAL FEST ‘AVISHKAR’ BEGINS VIRTUALLY
PRAYAGRAJ: Avishkar-2021, the four-day annual techno-management fest of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad started on Sunday. Due to the pandemic, competitions are being held virtually.
The festival started with a grand opening ceremony that was followed by events like Tuxwars, Logical Rhythms, and Insomnia that were held as part of Cyberquest. These events acquainted participants with the world of Linux and machine learning. Participants from all over the country and even abroad participated in battle of competitive coding.
Budding bridge designers showcased their talents in “Linkidge” and “Constrengtho” while fun and power packed “War of Currents” held under the section “Powersurge” evoked great participation from contestants. Brainstorming riddles of “Chem-E-Brain” and “Quizzical”, under the section “Rasayans” too drew good response as did events like “Lost in Space”, held under the section of “Aeromodelling.”
Participants also exhibited their power of individuality by speaking out in Solo Lobo conducted by Oligopoly.
Events Chanakya Neeti, Netritva, and Stallmart, held under the banner of Monopoly, provided a unique platform for the budding leaders of tomorrow. The participants were judged by their communication and leadership skills.
Avishkar also conducted series of other events like “Softathalon”, “Quintathlon”, “Cognizance”, and “Pentathlon”, to give the students a taste of the placement procedures and help them prepare for corporate scrutinising methodology.
Talk show, “gnoTalks” was the crowd puller event of the day. Award winning environmentalist, Sumaira Abdulali, inspired the audience with her experiences and struggles.
Chief guest and director of MNNIT, Prof Rajeev Tripathi along with other dignitaries was present. The faculty members also addressed the students.
