Terrorist linked to J&K cop’s killing shot dead J&K: TWO COPS INJURED IN GRENADE ATTACK
SRINAGAR: An Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) terrorist, who was involved in the killing of a police officer last week, was killed in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag district on Sunday, police said. J&K police identified the deceased terrorist as Faheem Bhat of Kadipora in Anantnag district. “He had recently joined terror outfit ISJK and was involved in killing of martyr ASI(assitant sub inspector) Mohd Ashraf, who was posted at police station Bijbehara,” said IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar. On Wednesday evening, unidentified terrorists had fired upon Ashraf near Bijbehara police station, who later succumbed to his injuries. In the past three days, the security forces have killed six terrorists in south Kashmir, including four on Saturday in two separate gunfights.

SRINAGAR: Two policemen were injured after terrorists lobbed a grenade at a police party near a post office in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday afternoon, officials said.
The injured policemen were taken to a hospital, they added. On Saturday, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Tral area of the district.
