HARIDWAR: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will prepare 70 separate manifestoes for the 70 assembly segments in the state, for which it has constituted a 15-member election manifesto committee which will seek feedback from all the constituencies.

AAP state unit spokesperson Amit Rawat said a process for preparing manifestoes for all the 70 assembly segments has already been started.

“All 70 manifestoes will be released in the first week of February,” he said.

Rawat said major impetus will be given to suggestions and views of common voters in the election manifestoes.

The AAP, which has declared 51 candidates so far for next month assembly polls, is compiling election manifesto with a 15-member panel.

Local issues and opinion of every assembly segment is being incorporated in the party’s election manifestoes.

This will be in addition to the five guarantees promised by AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal during his visits to the state, said Rawat.

Election manifesto committee team is chaired by senior party leader Sunil Kotnala.

One party representative each from the thirteen districts of the state has been given place in the election manifesto committee.

According to panel member Hema Bhandari the election manifesto will not be a routine one but comprising of all major issues and aspects which people of the state has been facing.

“Our election manifesto committee is taking suggestions, views and opinion of the common public. Untouched aspects are also being discussed and listed which affect the lives of the people. Our manifesto will be blue print of a new vibrant Uttarakhand,” said AAP poll manifesto committee member.

Party insiders said that earlier it was thought to being separate Assembly segment wise poll manifesto but due to less than a month left for polls, a broader election manifesto is being deemed as better.

Now party has decided to make segment wise announcement guarantee for which party workers are reaching door to door and virtually to voters for feedback.
