CM, dy-CM welcome budget

LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has welcomed the Union budget 2022-23 calling it all-inclusive and progressiv­e.

In a series of tweets in Hindi, on Tuesday, Yogi said: “I welcome the all-inclusive and progressiv­e Union budget towards the fulfilment of the vision of the ‘atmanirbha­r bharat’. This budget will enable India to become the biggest economy in the world. I express gratitude to PM Narendra

Modi and the union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for it”.

He also said that the steps of “the special provisions for interest-free loans for 50 years to the state, Ken-Betwa river linking, 400 Vande Bharat trains, road and health infrastruc­ture, airport cargo creation...Also UP is the state with the highest number of youth and today’s union budget has announced 60 lakh jobs for the youth, this will also help UP’s youth towards progress”. The chief minister also said that the budget will also help expand ‘Mission Shakti’ for the uplift and progress of women and will help towards the goal of women’s empowermen­t.

Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya welcomed the Union budget, terming it “wonderful”.

In a tweet in Hindi, Maurya said, “The budget of the Modi government, which was presented, is wonderful, and

“I welcome the all-inclusive and progressiv­e Union budget towards the fulfilment of the vision of the ‘atmanirbha­r bharat YOGI ADITYANATH, CM, UP

(we) welcome it. The budget is dedicated to the poor, farmers and youth. Additional arrangemen­ts made for road constructi­on indicate a developmen­t-oriented thought process. The people of Uttar Pradesh have got the maximum benefit of the budget because of the doubleengi­ne government, and they will get it,” he said.
